OUR MISSION
To keep Australia's passenger fleets in service — safely, locally, and for longer.
Trains outlive the companies that built them. When a seat frame cracks, a foam formulation is discontinued or a mould no longer exists, someone has to make the part again — to the original fit and to today's fire standard. That's the job we've built our business around.

About Classic Coachworks
Jim Kolesnyk founded Classic Coachworks in 1994 as an automotive upholsterer and convertible top manufacturer. Those trimming skills transferred to rolling stock, and the business grew into a transport engineering company refurbishing passenger rail interiors for Sydney Trains, NSW TrainLink and Queensland Rail.
Today we design and manufacture fire-retardant seat foams, safety-critical components and industrial trimming solutions for the rail, defence, marine and aerospace sectors across Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia — from more than 3,000m² of manufacturing facility in Mortdale, Sydney.
Through our Kradal™ brand we develop impact-absorbing products that reduce fall-related injuries in aged care, hospitals and childcare facilities — from flooring underlay and acoustic insulation to vanity tops and corner protection systems. Kradal products are backed by peer-reviewed clinical research, independently tested, and exported worldwide.
Design and engineering happen in Mortdale, and so does the bulk of our manufacturing. An established international supply network means we can also produce offshore where a project's scale or timeline demands it.
Proudly Australian-owned.
