Queensland Rail IMU/SMU Refurbishment
Classic Coachworks is currently undertaking interior refurbishment for the IMU 120 and SMU 220 trains operated by Queensland Rail. This includes replacement of all polyurethane seat foams with our fire-retardant foam designed and produced by us in Sydney, Australia.
OSCAR Refurbishment
Classic Coachworks completed the interior seat refurbishment of Sydney Trains' OSCAR (H Set) fleet, reupholstering seats with new moquette fabric, bases and foam as part of the fleet's transition from intercity to suburban service. Classic Coachworks reverse engineered the existing bases, backrests and seat brackets, producing brand new replacements.
Tangara Technology Upgrade
As part of the Tangara Technology Upgrade (TTU), Classic Coachworks has undertaken accessible seat design, successful accelerated life cycle testing and manufacturing to meet our customer's stringent design and reliability.
NSW Trains - XPT, Xplorer and Endeavour Refurbishment
Classic Coachworks has been involved in the ongoing repair and refurbishment of the diesel fleet trains for NSW. The scope of work includes the inclusion of new flame retardant products designed to meet stringent new safety standards. This will allow the current fleet to continue operation into the 2030's.
